Same-Day Medication Assisted Treatment Appointments & Walk-Ins Welcome! To Make An Appointment Call (304) 369-7876!
At Brighter Futures, we are committed to supporting your journey to recovery with comprehensive care and personalized attention. Your first visit is a crucial step in this process, and we want to make it as smooth and effective as possible.
During your initial visit, you'll meet with one of our experienced providers. This appointment typically includes taking your vital signs, completing a urine drug screen, and performing bloodwork to gather essential health information. You'll also have an in-depth conversation with the provider about your medical history, substance use, and overall health. Based on this discussion, the provider will recommend a medication plan tailored to your needs.
In most cases, you will receive a prescription for medication on the same day, such as Suboxone or Vivitrol, to begin your treatment immediately. However, in rare instances, a prescription may not be provided on the first visit. If you're interested in Sublocade, please note that you must be on a Suboxone prescription for at least a week before it can be prescribed.
If your schedule allows and you can stay for more than two hours, you'll have the opportunity to complete your therapy intake during your first visit. This intake involves working with a therapist or case manager to conduct a biopsychosocial assessment. This comprehensive evaluation delves into your history, mental health, and any factors that may impact your recovery journey.
If you're unable to stay for the therapy intake on the same day, don't worry. We'll schedule this important step within the next few days, ensuring that you receive the support you need without delay.
After completing both your provider and therapy intakes, you will be scheduled for weekly follow-up visits with your provider to manage your medication. These visits are critical to monitoring your progress and making any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Additionally, you'll attend a one-hour group therapy session each week, providing you with the opportunity to connect with others who are on a similar path to recovery.
Once a month, you'll have an individual therapy session with your therapist, allowing for more focused, personalized care. If you feel the need for more frequent individual sessions, you can always request additional appointments as needed.
At Brighter Futures, our support extends beyond medical and therapeutic care. We offer a full array of case management services to help you navigate the challenges that may arise during your recovery. Our case managers can assist with arranging transportation through ModivCare for Medicaid recipients, applying for SNAP, HUD, and Medicaid, and connecting you with resources like the Division of Rehabilitation or Jobs and Hope if you're interested in returning to school or seeking employment. We also offer resume assistance and much more, tailoring our services to meet your unique needs.
We are here to support you every step of the way, offering a holistic approach to your recovery and well-being.
